10 CELEBRATIONS TO INSPIRE YOUR ELOPEMENT
Every elopement is so unique. I am particularly grateful to document these intimate occasions and be included and celebrate with my couples! I work closely with my couples to make sure the day flows smoothly, talk about the best portrait locations, discuss places to adventure and create a day that is your dream elopement experience.
From eloping at a remote treehouse in the woods to traveling abroad to an incredible location like Paris or Switzerland or going to the location of your first date, I’m up for whatever experience speaks to you!
Jessica & Jordan eloped on a warm August day in Newport, Vermont at an amazing treehouse with access to a pond and forested area. You may have seen this elopement published in Festival Brides and Vermont Weddings.
“There really were many factors that went into why we decided to elope. Ultimately it just felt right for us. 2. VERMONT DESTINATION ELOPEMENT AT SHELBURNE FARMS WITH A SPLASH OF HARRY POTTER ~ ANGEL & JUSTIN
Angel & Justin married on wonderful September day at the elegant Inn at Shelburne Farms in Shelburne, Vermont. When thinking about planning to elope, they wanted it to feel intimate and deeply personal. You may have seen this elopement featured in Vermont Weddings.
Elements of Harry Potter were woven into several part of the day – Justin wore a Hogwarts pin and read the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone out loud to Angel in the evening.
“We both love Harry Potter individually and it was just a happy coincidence that it was a shared love of ours even as adults. Since we’ve known each other since childhood, Harry Potter seems like a mix of our childhood and our present day. We read it ever year! It’s kind of become our compass in life, as trivial as that might sound, we find a lot of meaningful life lessons in those books and we wanted to incorporate that into our marriage as well.” – Angel
3. CHIC BOSTON PUBLIC GARDEN MICRO WEDDING ~ WELLS & JEREMY
Wells & Jeremy married in June at the Boston Public Garden. Like many couples, they postponed their big celebration due to Covid. They opted to still get married on their planned wedding date in the heart of Boston.
“My favorite moment was when it all come together: to turn around and see Wells glowing with happiness, walking around and taking photos while strangers said “Congratulations!” through their own masks. It became really real and I couldn’t stop smiling.” – Jeremy
4. MODERN AND ORGANIC NEUTRAL PALETTE WEDDING INSPIRATION AT WATERWORKS IN WINOOSKI, VERMONT
This editorial was a dream! Lead by Jaclyn Watson Events, each vendor came together with a shared vision to create a chic, organic, neutral color palette modern wedding inspiration. The design of the editorial was based on a neutral palette, with a focus on black and dark gray as one of the main shades. A mix of dried florals, dyed florals (including the palm frond), and delicate blooms perfectly represented that mix of modern and chic style we wanted to explore.

5. WINTER YALE ELOPEMENT IN NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT ~ NATHAN & JANICE
Nathan & Janice eloped in Connecticut on a December day. They went on their first date at the Shops at Yale and decided to revisit their favorite spots as part of their Yale elopement!
“Our favorite and most emotional moment was when we revisited the exact spot where we took our very first picture together on our first date. All of our old memories together came flooding back to us and it was such a special moment to show how much our love has grown together since then.” – Nathan & Janice
6. HONEYMOON VOW READING AT CHATEAU GUTSCH IN LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND
After spending four incredible days enjoying Paris, Nick and I took the train to magical Lucerne, Switzerland where we spent five days. The city is centered around Lake Lucerne, surrounded by rolling hills and the alps reaching up to the clouds. We stayed at the elegant Chateau Gütsch which is perched on top of a hill overlooking the city.

“We both felt this natural, romantic draw to revisit our vows. It was the first time since our private vow reading on the wedding day that we’d recited them to each other. The unexpected delight was how we had already blurred certain details – revisiting in this intimate setting was the perfect moment and place to do so, and I’ll never forget it.” – Nick
7. FALL TREEHOUSE ELOPEMENT AT MOOSE MEADOW LODGE IN VERMONT ~ CAITLIN & MATT
Caitlin & Matt eloped on a gorgeous October day at the treehouse at Moose Meadow Lodge in Waterbury, Vermont. They eloped on the 12th anniversary of their first date. You may have seen this elopement featured in Vermont Weddings.
“Our wedding was a celebration of our partnership to that point, and and affirmation of our love and commitment to each other for the future.
We loved that the treehouse at Moose Meadow Lodge was close to home and a perfect escape for a weekend. It everything we could have hoped for and more! With only four weeks to get everything together, the pieces all fell into place really quickly. We decided four weeks to the day before and pulled everything together in about ten days!” – Caitlin
8. BLOSSOMING BOUGH FLORAL ANNIVERSARY SESSION IN VERMONT ~ EVA & ELYE
This anniversary session was on a warm June day at Eva & Elye’s home in Craftsbury Common, Vermont. “I find my inspiration in nature– both in the wild woods and fields, and out in my garden. Ideas for color combinations and play of textures and shapes often come from chance juxtapositions of different plants at various life stages, that I see when I’m working in the garden or walking in the woods.” – Eva
9. MAGICAL SHELBURNE FARMS ELOPEMENT IN VERMONT ~ ANNIE & BILLY
Annie & Billy eloped on a beautiful August day at the Inn at Shelburne Farms in scenic Shelburne, Vermont. Their original plans for their wedding changed dramatically due to Covid.
“My two favorite moments of the day were our champagne toast behind the farm barn and our moment at the beach near the coach barn. At the top of the hill, behind the farm barn, the light was cast beautifully across the Champlain Valley, illuminating it is a warm glow. Our dance to Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon” was great, humbling fun given how little we have been dancing together. On the beach next to the coach barn, the sun had set, accentuating the silhouette of the Adirondack Mountains across Lack Champlain. The sky was painted in breathtaking hues of orange, pink, and blue, and the moon shone as a lonely sickle above the whisping clouds. My attention was brought from the lovely scene my lovely wife, as Julia made a simple, yet wisely significant suggestion, that we tell each other what we loved about one another. I felt a huge grin spread across my face as I told Annie all her traits that came to mind – all the reasons I wanted to marry her. She did the same, and my heart swelled with pride. Before we left, I looked out across the calm lake and felt an itch to skip a stone across it. After scratching once or twice, I took one last look across the scene, took it all in, then looked at Annie again before heading home.” – Billy
10. VERMONT WINTER SOLSTICE ELOPEMENT AT CHARLOTTE BEACH ~ WILL & RUBY
Will & Ruby eloped on the December Winter Solstice at Charlotte Beach in Vermont.

Will built a fire from drift wood to warm their hands, much to the confusion of their puppy who continuously tried to start a game of fetch. A truly intimate event, the only people present were myself and the officiant while they exchanged their vows on the shores of Lake Champlain. It was incredible.
