“It is spring again. The earth is like a child that knows poems by heart.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke

“We wanted to feature the mountains, where we love to hike and ski, while still being able to dress up and look elegant. Sense of place is important to us — we wanted the ceremony location, flowers, and photography to feel authentic to Vermont.” – Brian & Kathryn
“Even though we didn’t have friends or family there, I was so touched by how everyone doted on us — our wedding planner Lindsey Leichthammer brought us lunch, Julia helped me put my shoes on, Chloe took such good care of Maple, and Jayson used flowers from his own garden. When I was walking toward Brian to start the ceremony, I thought about how much love our friends, family, and community have poured into our lives in order for us to get to this point. That gratitude was such a lovely feeling to carry into our ceremony. “ – Kathryn

4. TRAPP FAMILY LODGE ROMANTIC SPRING WEDDING INSPIRATION – IN STOWE, VERMONT
This editorial was inspired by the lush, Spring landscape found at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont. The lodge was founded by the Von Trapp family, best known for inspiring the Sound of Music, and has spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
A collaboration between several different creatives, we wanted to create a romantic, old-world-inspired session that focused on the vitality of Spring. Christa Alexandra Designs provided beautiful papery that she handcrafts at her letterpress-based studio in Fairfield, Vermont. Perrywinkle’s Fine Jewelry chose pieces that had an emphasis on natural shapes, including Mikimoto pearls. View this editorial, here!

“Between Will and I, my Grandma Kay is our last surviving biological grandparent. We kinda wish that all of our grandparents could have been around to witness this, so it was important to have Grandma Kay with us. We are also having a wedding party in the Summer up in Shelburne, VT, and it would have been too much to ask to get her up there.” – Rosy
6. WHITEFACE MOUNTAIN ELOPEMENT IN LAKE PLACID, NEW YORK – HALEY & KEN
Haley & Ken married on a windy day on Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, New York. The weather conditions at this mountaintop intimate wedding were intense. It was around 45 degrees, the wind was wiping across the open rock face and we were surrounded by misty clouds and intermittent rain. But that didn’t put a damper on Haley & Ken. See more of this beautiful wedding, here.
“My favorite moment was when I got to Kenny at the “end of the aisle.” I hadn’t seen him all day and the excitement was building up. We both had the biggest smiles and seeing him just calmed my nerves.” – Haley
Dylan & Pilar married on a spring day in May at the Intervale Center in Burlington, Vermont.
“The Intervale’s beauty inspired us to just keep things simple; our focus and splurging went to flowers and lighting.” Dylan agreed with Pilar, “Vermont was our main inspiration. We’d always thought we’d get married farther south, closer to home, but as we started actually planning we realized how much we love Vermont and wanted to have our wedding experience here. The visual theme might best be described as simple and natural. Mostly highlighting the natural textures and colors of the barn with some beautiful flower arrangements by our friend at Unfurled Vermont.”
“It was such a spring day as breathes into a man an ineffable yearning, a painful sweetness, a longing that makes him stand motionless, looking at the leaves or grass, and fling out his arms to embrace he knows not what.”
― John Galsworthy
