Brian & Kathryn married on a gorgeous Spring day in the mountains at of Vermont at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe. The light was golden, the landscape lush and the flower dog, Maple, was absolutely living her best life! “We wanted to feature the mountains, where we love to hike and ski, while still being able to dress up and look elegant. Sense of place is important to us — we wanted the ceremony location, flowers, and photography to feel authentic to Vermont.” – Brian & Kathryn
“Even though we didn’t have friends or family there, I was so touched by how everyone doted on us — our wedding planner Lindsey Leichthammer brought us lunch, Julia helped me put my shoes on, Chloe took such good care of Maple, and Jayson used flowers from his own garden. When I was walking toward Brian to start the ceremony, I thought about how much love our friends, family, and community have poured into our lives in order for us to get to this point. That gratitude was such a lovely feeling to carry into our ceremony. “ – Kathryn
“From seeing Kathryn for the first time to reading our vows to each other in the middle of the birch grove, it was all so special. I felt so happy walking through the fields with Kathryn and Maple after we’d been married.” – Brian
Brian & Kathryn originally had a larger celebration planned, but adjusted their plans with the pandemic.
“It’s OK to grow and change from what you imagined initially! Don’t be tied to what you thought was a good idea when you started the process.” – Brian
“When you’re ready, try to embrace the benefits of your new plans! For us, because it was just the two of us, we were able to have a ceremony with very personal readings and longer vows. “ – Kathryn
