Rosy & Will married on April 29, 2017 at the charmingly old-world Gloriosa & Co in Ashfield, MA. An intimate gathering of 20 guests, with exquisite locally-sourced food and unique details at every turn (including a 8ft fairy house in one of the rooms), the wedding was very sincere. You may have seen this published in Intimate Weddings.
Rosy & Will chose to have an intimate wedding so that Rosy’s 104-year-old grandmother could attend the celebration.
“Between Will and I, my Grandma Kay is our last surviving biological grandparent. We kinda wish that all of our grandparents could have been around to witness this, so it was important to have Grandma Kay with us. We are also having a wedding party in the Summer up in Shelburne, VT, and it would have been too much to ask to get her up there.” – Rosy
One of my favorite moments from the wedding was when Grandma Kay had decided to take a nap in one of the Inn’s rooms, but insisted that she be woken up when dessert was served. As promised, Rosy & Will delivered the dessert to her room, and the three of them ended up snuggling in bed while feeding Grandma Kay the flan.
Small weddings leave room for moments like this to happen.
“Both of our favorite parts of the wedding was how our immediate families came together and seemed to really enjoy spending time with each other, despite some folks not having met each other yet… and the food and weather were awesome! Plus, there is something special about what happens visually at the end of April, with buds and flowers just starting to come out. It is a beautiful time of the year.” – Rosy
