The tranquil pond ceremony, backdropped by the emerald trees and undulating mountains was entirely unforgettable.  Nectar & Root muddied the brighter pink tones with ochres, olives, burgundies and other transitional hues that perfectly echoed the changing seasons through fresh and organic blooms. A feeling of  free-spirited bliss permeates the day.

The unbelievable green space at All Souls, which overlooks the lake with the Adirondacks in the distance, felt like the perfect embodiment of that aesthetic. Aside from the ceremony itself, our “first look” was the most calming and meaningful moment of the day for me – all the anticipation and nerves of the morning melted away as soon as we saw each other, and it was incredible to just take a breath, be together, and acknowledge that the wedding was finally upon us.” – Lizzie

“We chose Sarah’s family’s home because of the meaning the place has to us. We spent many weekends there when we lived in Williamstown and Sarah’s parents came to know Tom and our friends very quickly with all of our Party Barn parties, hiking and biking weekends, paddle tennis tournaments and all the many meals we cooked together in the kitchen. The property is exceptionally beautiful and ever since Sarah’s parents moved there and ever since Sarah knew she wanted to marry Tom, there was never any other option – it was an easy choice.”

“There were many wonderful emotional parts of the day. It started with the private moment I shared with my mom as we got dressed. She zipped me up and we both put on our matching earrings (custom made by my mom and me from a combination of jewelry from both my grandmothers). My mom and my bridesmaids helped me for me pin on my veil (worn by three generations before me, including my mom on her wedding day) – it was a delicate process and many hands were necessary!” – Sarah

6. ELEGANT SHELBURNE FARMS WEDDING – TARA & PAUL

Tara & Paul tied the knot on a beautiful September day at Shelburne Farms, a National Historic Landmark is known for its 1900s Gilded Age architecture and sweeping views of Lake Champlain.  Tara explained, “We wanted to share this beautiful place with everyone we love and care so much about. Shelburne Farms is simple and breathless at the same time.”

The reception was held at the elegant New England Coach Barn, where Tara’s vision of luxurious florals and candlelit details came together perfectly. “We will never forget how proud our parents were when they saw the Coach Barn reception setup for the first time.” The bride’s father, Bill, kicked off things off with a touching, hilarious toast, recounting Tara’s performance of “I’m a little teapot” as a child. “All the speeches were unforgettable. The maid of honor’s speech was powerful, eloquent, and touched everyone in the room.”

7. LUSH FLORAL WEDDING AT MAQUAM BARN AND WINERY – MELANIE & MAX

Melanie and Max held their lush floral wedding at Maquam Barn & Winery in Vermont. A floral arch framed their outdoor ceremony and elegant florals adorned the reception. The wedding was full of beautiful moments beneath a cloudless summer sky, sweet moments with loved ones, and the gorgeous vistas.

The ceremony was framed by a lush arbor of white hydrangea, blush pink chrysanthemum and champagne roses by Clayton Floral. The backdrop to such an opulent floral arch was an ocean of green bound by distant mountains, making the scene truly picture-perfect. It is also the location for their private vow reading. A private vow exchange offers the opportunity for the wedding couple to connect in whatever way they like best. The event was planned by Lindsey Leichthammer, who hand painted watercolor table numbers and place cards as a nod to Max’s Georgia roots. See more here. 

 

 

8. MAGICAL SHELBURNE FARMS ELOPEMENT IN VERMONT – ANNIE & BILLY

9. CHIC BOSTON PUBLIC GARDEN MICRO WEDDING – WELLS & JEREMY

Wells & Jeremy married in June at the Boston Public Garden. Like many couples, they postponed their big celebration due to Covid. They opted to still get married on their planned wedding date in the heart of Boston. You can enjoy more of their wedding, here.

10. SCOTTISH & ITALIAN INSPIRED VERMONT WEDDING – CHAIPEL & MITCH

Chaipel & Mitch married on a beautiful fall day in the classic New England town of New Haven, Vermont. You might recognize this location from Sarah & Tom’s Edelweiss-Inspired Wedding. Chaipel & Mitch are close friends with the homeowners and when they offered up their property for the wedding, it seemed like the perfect spot to tie the knot!

“We chose our beautiful venue in New Haven, VT because Mitch grew up in Montpelier, VT and much of his family still lives in the area and I also have ties to VT having worked for VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations for many years. Our friends were gracious enough to allow us to be married on their property and have our reception at their quintessential VT barn. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful setting than Vermont.”

 

11. CROSS STREET FLOWER FARM WEDDING INSPIRATION – IN NORWELL, MASSACHUSETTS

Getting married on a flower farm means you’ll be surrounded by rows of luscious, romantic flowers. Cross Street Flower Farm is a 7-acre flower farm only 30 minutes from Boston, growing specialty and sustainable flowers from April through November. Owner Nikki Bartley says, “Our flower fields are a love letter to our community. We hope our flowers make you smile as you drive by our fields on Main Street. We are not just in the business of growing flowers, we are growing a community of flower lovers around the South Shore.”

This Tuscan-inspired day at Cross Street Flower Farm was designed by Kayla Gould of Buds, bringing in a variety of romantic blooms to create this beautiful editorial. My favorite addition to the florals were the pitcher plants! Hayley Tyson created a romantic invitation suite featuring watercolor scenes of Italy, cerulean calligraphy, and vellum envelopes. 12. BLACK TIE MOUNTAIN WEDDING AT TOPNOTCH RESORT – JENN & BRIAN

Jenn & Brian’s wedding at Topnotch Resort was the perfect mix of luxury and boho for their Vermont wedding. The two love the mountains and wanted their guests to enjoy the weekend and incredible views. They chose a mix of flowers, from cascading orchids to pastel dahlias and large roses.

There are not enough words to share how amazing Julia is! Not only did she capture the most beautiful pictures, but we also could feel that she genuinely loved being there to capture our day with our family and friends. This made the biggest difference. —Jenn & Brian
