Shelburne Museum Brick House Wedding with a Nancy Meyers Aesthetic

A black-tie Vermont wedding with a Nancy Meyers aesthetic at the historic Shelburne Museum Brick House with Personal notes for every guest, espresso martinis + churros, and sweeping lake views—this one’s for the romantics

If you’ve ever dreamed of a wedding that feels like it could live inside a Nancy Meyers movie—clean lines, heartfelt moments, timeless beauty with a little wink—this Shelburne Museum Brick House wedding is it. Overlooking the rolling hills and shimmering blue of Lake Champlain, Beka and Harrison’s day was equal parts elegant, personal, and joyfully unexpected.

Planned by Lindsey Leichthammer Events and adorned with blooms by Clayton Florals, the day unfolded at the storied Brick House. The venue is private estate built in 1840 and once gifted as a wedding present to Shelburne Museum founder Electra Havemeyer Webb. With its iconic historical wallpaper, Colonial Revival charm, and sweeping gardens, it felt like stepping into another era—but one where espresso martinis and churros are served instead of cake.

The Vibe: Nancy Meyers Meets New England Charm
Classic New England with a warm, lived-in elegance. Think tailored black tie attire beside wild garden florals, heritage wallpaper as ceremony backdrop, and the kind of golden light that makes Vermont feel extra romantic in summer. The whole day had that signature Nancy Meyers aesthetic—refined, personal, and filled with subtle humor.

A Weekend in Burlington
The celebration extended far beyond the wedding day. With an intimate rehearsal dinner at Dedalus Wine that is filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and candlelight among friends. And a welcome party at Hotel Vermont kicked things off along with views of the lake and craft cocktails flowing.

Heartfelt Touches: Personal Notes to Every Guest
One of the most memorable details? Beka and Harrison have a personal note to each guest as part of the escort card display. Guests are met with their table number, and words of love, a memory, or shared experience. It was intimate, emotional, and completely unforgettable.

Late-Night Vibes: Espresso Martinis & Churros
When the dance floor heated up and the air cooled down, guests were greeted with trays of espresso martinis and churros—no traditional wedding cake needed. It was the perfect unexpected twist that felt so them.

“Working with Julia was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding,” Beka and Harrison shared. “Her energy was calming, fun, and appreciated at every step. The end results were SO good and I could not recommend her enough.”

A day to remember, in a setting where history and modern love stories meet so seamlessly.
