MY CALENDAR
We are all adjusting our lives to accommodate for COVID-19 and the restrictions we need to follow to ensure the health and safety of our loved ones.
For those of you who are are eyeing the calendar and considering rescheduling your wedding, I’ve made this page so you can review my calendar, see my availability and ensure I can still photograph your wedding.
I will be updating this calendar as dates are moved and added. If you see a date that you would like to discuss, just send me a message and we will get that conversation started. I am here to support you in this stressful time and know that I will help in any way I can.
INFORMATION AND RESOURCES
I found this article incredibly accurate and useful.
Harpers Bazaar, “What to Expect When Postponing Your Wedding During Coronavirus.”
Consider rescheduling to a weekday.
Most weddings are on weekends, which means most vendors are booked on Saturdays. If you are rescheduling with all of us, it is much more likely you will keep your full vendor team if you choose a weekday. If you find you need to replace any of your vendors, please reach out to me and I will connect you with people I love working with!
Consider having two celebrations.
An elopement or intimate wedding on your original date, and a big party at a later date. Many of my couples have chosen to take this route, and both celebrations can be incredibly special and it means you are still getting married this year! One of my favorite wedding couples of all time years ago did this years ago. They had an intimate wedding so her 104-year-old grandmother could attend, and then a big wedding later on with all their friends and family.
Consider hiring a wedding planner if you do not have one.
This would be a moment when a planner is worth their weight in gold. If you are rescheduling, they will be able to help you navigate through this and do the heavy lifting for you. Even with the added cost of adding a planner to your budget, they are actually more likely to save you money as they will help you keep more of your vendors and avoid losing those deposits! Here are a list of planners I absolutely love. If they are not available for your date, they may still be able to refer you or offer a consultation.
My services.
There is no extra fee to reschedule your wedding with me, and I will do everything in my power to be there on your wedding.
If you move your wedding to an entirely new location, there may be travel expenses added to your final invoice. If you think this may apply, please reach out to discuss in more detail.
If you reschedule or cancel your wedding and I’m not available for the new date, per the contract, my booking fee is non-refundable. If you have questions concerning this policy, please let me know and I’m happy to discuss in more detail.
I am here for you at this difficult moment in time, ready to talk through creative problem solving if needed, and so excited to create beautiful photographs of your celebration.
My approach on the day.
I will be wearing a mask, distancing, sanitizing and doing other safety measures throughout the day. I’m committed to keeping up with safety protocols, and this means I may be working a bit slower than my usual high speed. Thankfully this shouldn’t impact the images I will be creating, as I can use specific lenses to document moments from a little farther away than I normally would be.
Officiant.
If you are struggling to get your guest count down, I can get a license and become your officiant for the day! This would be best for a ceremony that you wish to largely conduct yourselves, and I would be there to say a few specific words and most importantly sign your license and make sure it’s sent to the correct place. During the ceremony I’d still be taking pictures and documenting the celebration would still be my main focus on the day. Just let me know if you’d like to discuss this as an option!
