Meagan & Akheil’s modern Washington DC destination wedding. “The first look and private vow reading turned out to be among our favorite moments. That intimate moment gave us both the time to react purely to our vows, to laugh and tear up. It also gave us the space to reflect on our relationship and affirm to one another the life that we’ve built, before doing so in front of our friends and family. It set the perfect tone for the rest of the celebration. Another favorite moment was walking down the aisle together arm in arm with our toddler. Rather than meeting at the front of the room, we elected to come into the room as a family and it just felt very much like us. “ – Meagan & Akheil

Michaela & Josh’s romantic, DIY wedding at Star Farm Blueberries in Galway, New York. “I wanted our wedding to feel really true and personal to us – I really don’t like a lot of the traditional parts of weddings and didn’t want to feel obligated to conform to them. So we kind took the general structure of a wedding day, and only included the pieces that felt right, then filled in the rest with parts of our personalities and relationship that felt important. We did almost all the wedding DIY, which was a ton of work but I wanted the aesthetic to feel curated and intentional.” – Michaela & Josh

Eva & Elye’s floral filled adventure session in Craftsbury Common, Vermont.“I find my inspiration in nature– both in the wild woods and fields, and out in my garden. Ideas for color combinations and play of textures and shapes often come from chance juxtapositions of different plants at various life stages, that I see when I’m working in the garden or walking in the woods.” – Eva

The Cherry Blossom Festival in the Wooster Square neighborhood in New Haven, Connecticut is magical. “The night before Maeve and Daisy were born, Dan and I went to Wooster Square and shared a Sally’s pizza and Libby’s Italian Pastry Shop. Our “last supper” was sentimental, leaving behind our lives as just the two of us, and welcoming in our greatest gifts. This spring, Julia photographed us in Wooster Square peak cherry blossoms and all felt full circle. We even got a Sally’s pizza.” – Annalise
