Alana & Kyler’s summer engagement session at the Rose Gardens at Elizabeth Park in Hartford, Connecticut was full of bountiful florals. “There are over 15,000 rose bushes and 800 varieties of old and new roses in the garden. Featured are hybrid tea, climbers, hybrid perpetual, and floribunda, shrub, and pillar roses, among others.”

Ryan & Leah married on a fall day in Shelburne, Vermont. They hosted an intimate gathering at Ryan’s family home, with Vermont Tent Company supplying a beautiful sailcloth tent and decor and to create an amazing backyard wedding. Leah got ready at Hotel Vermont in Burlington, before meeting up with Ryan at historic Shelburne Farms. “As soon as we said “I do” and put the rings on each other’s hand we both felt an overwhelming sense of happiness. At that point, we felt like we could really celebrate our life together.” – Ryan & Leah

Elements of Harry Potter were woven into several part of the day – Justin wore a Hogwarts pin and read the first chapter of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone out loud to Angel in the evening.

“We both love Harry Potter individually and it was just a happy coincidence that it was a shared love of ours even as adults. Since we’ve known each other since childhood, Harry Potter seems like a mix of our childhood and our present day. We read it ever year! It’s kind of become our compass in life, as trivial as that might sound, we find a lot of meaningful life lessons in those books and we wanted to incorporate that into our marriage as well.” – Angel

Meagan & Akheil’s modern Washington DC destination wedding. “The first look and private vow reading turned out to be among our favorite moments. That intimate moment gave us both the time to react purely to our vows, to laugh and tear up. It also gave us the space to reflect on our relationship and affirm to one another the life that we’ve built, before doing so in front of our friends and family. It set the perfect tone for the rest of the celebration. Another favorite moment was walking down the aisle together arm in arm with our toddler. We wandered around downtown Saratoga, strolling around all their old haunts, from Congress Park to Uncommon Grounds Coffee to James & Sons Tobacconists to visiting the the exact spot where they first met at Wheatfields, where Dan was a server and Caitlin was the hostess!
