On Saturday, June 22, 2019, Nick and I married on the solstice in South Hero, Vermont. This place is very close to our hearts, and I was honored to stand on the same timeless rocks and shoreline that my parents, and many other family members exchanged their vows on. Just a few days earlier, a huge storm had come through the area and knocked down trees and the lawn was collecting puddles. Thanks to the help of more than a few people, everything pulled together and we had a wonderful windy, sunny day.
“Alex and I met in September so the fall has always been a special time of year for us. This is what inspired us to choose a rustic fall themed summer camp wedding in The Champlain Islands. The camp had little cottages located along Lake Champlain that the guests stayed in. The leaves were just slightly starting to change color, however it was somehow 80 degrees. The ceremony took place overlooking the lake with mountains as the backdrop. The dining tables were decorated with lanterns, pumpkins and leaves to give that autumn feel and the hall of the camp had a canopy of lights over the guests as they danced the night away. We ended the evening with a bonfire on the beach. ” – Molly
