“We wanted our wedding to be small and personal, and all about family. Mitch built the arbor we were married under from wood from the property in Westmoreland. We had so many family members participate: Mitch’s brother Bob married us, his brother Ed was a groomsman, and his nephew Dan was his  best man.  My sisters Anne and Kate were my bridesmaids and readings were done by Mitch’s daughters, Ivy and Fallon and my nieces Dorothy, Violet, and Claire. Our cake was made by Mitch’s niece Kate and our band was headed up by his nephew Chris. Lastly, my nephew Will walked me down the aisle and to top it all off our Labradoodle Finn was our ring bearer!” – Chaipel

“There really were many factors that went into why we decided to elope. Ultimately it just felt right for us. Being able to focus on each other, our commitment to each other, and just enjoying the company of each other on this special day was amazing. I will cherish how I felt on that day forever.”  – Jessica

“Immediately after our first look and private vows, the winds picked up, they skies turned grey and there was rain on the horizon (the forecast had called for sun and zero percent chance of rain). The next couple of hours were a rollercoaster of emotions and decisions. At first, the radar looked gloomy and as though the storm wouldn’t pass for a while. The decision was made to move the flowers and “stumpaltar” from the ceremony field to under the tent. The groomsmen were tasked and they graciously – without complaint, in the pouring rain – moved everything themselves. Tom, our parents and some close family friends were carefully watching the radar carefully. They calmly walked in to the room full of bridesmaids to tell me that, unfortunately, we were going to have to do the ceremony under the tent. I was surprisingly cool, calm and collected. I took a swig of Whistle Pig and said “ok!”. “ – Sarah

I love places like this because you can feel the ancient history within the layers of rocks. “We chose Moss Glen Falls for our engagement session because both Andrew and I have a deep connection to nature, and feel most comfortable there. “ -Katy

“It was so important to have that time for just Charlie and me. The whole weekend is a happy/wonderful/exciting blur of family, friends, and events. Setting aside time to say our vows to one another and process them was very meaningful. We were able to let our guard down and enjoy the tenderness of the moment.” – Maggie

Nate worked with Grant A. Peacock Jewelers in NYC to design the engagement ring. Nate’s family has been working with this jeweler for 3 generations, so he knew exactly where to go. The center stone is from Nate’s mom’s mother’s engagement ring and the side stones are from his father’s grandmother’s engagement ring. That’s how you create a family heirloom.

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is one of my favorite museums in Boston. The art, architecture and flow of the space always fills us my creative cup. I was visiting the museum with Nick and two of my best friends, Kevin & Molly, who recently got engaged and I couldn’t resist taking a few portraits […]

“We started our day off right with Brunch at a lovely little cafe. We talked about our new favorite places around the neighborhood and what we should do for our birthdays as they were fast approaching. After satisfying our belly’s, we headed off to the city to see Waitress. We got to the theater and we’re inundated with Pies before the show started. We realized that pie had now become something that we would have to have after the show. The show was beautiful, filled with moving lyrics and and a beautiful story. Callison was weeping  by intermission, and by the end we were inspired and very emotional. I then did my best to not ride any suspicions and get Callison back to Brooklyn before the the botanic garden closed. We barely made it before they closed the gates. We strolled our way through the gardens taking in the fall foliage till we found a nice spot by a pond. I got down on one knee and said some things that came to heart. She said yes! And proceeded to call everyone she could think of as I casually suggested that we go back to her parents apartment to pick up a package that we had been expecting. Little did she know I had planned a surprise party for her with many of her close friends. She had no idea. We partied into the evening and she kept looking at her ring saying something like, ”it’s so pretty”!” – Conrad

“The most emotional moment for me throughout the day was getting to speak my vows to Ross- privately and as honest and raw as I possibly could. Being able to Express my love for him in such a way, knowing that we were about to be married, was probably the most vulnerable I’ve ever felt in my life. Getting to see his reaction without anyone else distracting us was priceless. “ – Becki

The whole reason for this photoshoot was because I ran into Tess at Sweet Babu, my favorite dessert shop in Winooski, Vermont, and the light caught her vibrant eyes and I couldn’t stop thinking about them. To keep the photoshoot focused on her eyes, I decided it would be fun to challenge myself to have only a simple backdrop and the same pose in each shot with small variations to the light sources. I chose a living coral colored antique silk scarf to contrast her green eyes.
