Sara & Dan's The Inn at Manchester, VT Wedding

Sara & Dan married on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at The Inn at Manchester in Vermont.

"My family has had a house in Vermont since I was born and we have spent my whole life going up to vacation and relax there. Vermont was the first place that Dan met my parents and he also loves going up there as well so we thought it would be the perfect spot! We decided to have it at the Inn at Manchester because it was so beautiful and everyone that worked there were so nice and welcoming! We were so happy with Nancy and all of the staff at the Inn. They were wonderful. I didn't have to worry about a thing the whole day - everything was so seamless and perfect!" - Sara

Sara's brother played the music for the ceremony, and after getting ready separately, Sara and Dan were very excited to see each other and tie the knot. "I remember thinking, as I walking down the aisle with my parents, 'As long as I keep smiling, I won't start crying' because I knew if I started crying it would all be over from there." Dan agreed that this was one of the most emotional moments of the wedding.

The ceremony was followed by cocktail hour and lawn games. First dances lead into touching speeches, and a fantastic dance party. "One of my favorite memories was hanging out and dancing with my cousin Carole. I don't get to see her often and it was wonderful to dance around and have such a great time with her. One of Dan's favorite moments was singing along to "Journey" with my dad and brother and rapping "Regulators" with my brother, my brother-in-law Aaron and Scott."

On planning a wedding, Sara's advice is,

"I think the most important thing to remember is to do what YOU want, not what your aunt wants, not what your cousin did at her wedding...It's most important that you are having a good time on your wedding day. And if you are having a good time then everything else falls into place. And in general don't listen to chatter leading up to your wedding.  Everyone will have an opinion about something or would have done something differently so don't take any comments or critiques personally and just enjoy your day! Oh, and don't forget to eat on your actual wedding day! I think our only regret is we wish we had eaten more cheese during cocktail hour!"
