Portraits of Women in Mexico + Guatemala

Women never cease to amaze me with their strength, joy, and ability to overcome obstacles. Our lives may be different, but we all basically have the same goals: to provide for ourselves and our family, enjoy our lives, be healthy, eat good food, enjoy our friendships, and live comfortably. Women deserve all these things and more, and I hope these images inspire you to help make that world a reality.

A Walk in the Woods with Adrea Peters

"Every character, like every person, is the hero of their story. No matter how terrible it gets, triumph awaits. Always. Without fail. I wish people knew that more acutely. The mess is good! The hard shit is what lifts you to the better shit! If only we celebrated that more... imagine how extraordinary life could be..."

John & Debbie's Winter Wedding at the Shoreham Inn

"John and I had been together for nine years and decided to get married, really as a gesture. Neither of us realized that it would be much more than that. After having had a long term commitment to one another, getting married deepened that commitment and expression of our love. We became an us, in addition to being John and Debbie. And all of our children joined to become a family. The wedding was small, including only immediate family members. It was warm and intimate and love truly filled the rooms!" - Debbie

Will & Ruby's Winter Solstice Elopement

"We chose to celebrate our marriage on the winter solstice to create a glowing memory to brighten the shortest and darkest day of the year. The lake and Charlotte beach hold a wistful and romantic place in both of lives. We could not have picked a more memorable and moving time, place and photographer to engrave this moment into our memory." - Will

Ian & Kelli's Romantic Wedding

"When I think back to our wedding day, which still seems like yesterday, I am filled with the most vivid dreamlike feeling. We got married right in our yard—every single day when I leave for work and when I come back home, I can feel and hear the magical chatter of our wedding day.

I remember my best friend Sophie holding me tight before I stepped into my wedding dress, my hands trembling as she so gently wiped tears from my eyes. I felt like a little girl and all grown up in the same moment.

I remember my stepmother grabbing my hand and saying, "You ready?" as she opened the front door and my heart pounded with a strange combination of excitement, fear, and happiness—and then calm."

Sam's Mitzvah

"Becoming a bar mitzvah is one among many milestones in a Jewish man's life. As a mother, I am filled with mixed emotions.  My boys aren't babies anymore, but I am joyful that they've each reached this stage and filled with pride at the young men they are becoming. The photos you took encapsulate that so beautifully." - Renee, Sam's mother

Kait & Craig's Traditional Scottish Wedding in Vermont

"Getting to write our own vows was a very emotional process for us, so when it came time to actually say the words out loud to each other in front of our family and friends it was a really powerful moment. Looking into each other's eyes and speaking directly to one another while the entire room was just overflowing with love for us, and happiness and hope for our future together... It still chokes me up a little just thinking about it. I'll always keep those words somewhere safe so that when I need to remind myself of what our marriage was founded on I can call them up and go back to that beautiful moment we had together in front of our loved ones." - Kait

3,800 Miles: The Video

My partner, Nick, and I spent 22 days on the road and travelled 3,800 miles across the West of the US earlier this year. Of course, I made lots of photographs along the way, but I also wanted to create a video experience from the journey. I hope you enjoy the (much abbreviated) version of the trip.

Featuring: Conrad Dean, Callison Stratton, Kirby, Jesse Youngman, Samira Menghes, Akheil Singla and Butch Goette.

Chris & Christie's Vermont Wedding

"The most beautiful moment for me was the minute we included in our ceremony to just look out and around at the community we had gathered there. We held silence for one full minute, and I tried to make eye contact with each of my friends and family members, as well as Chris's. The love I felt being sent out to us was palpable, as I knew that each of them was blessing our wedding in that moment, in their own ways. I knew that I had all of their support, this day, and all days to come, no matter what." - Christie
